IT Support and Maintenance Case Study (Windows Updates)

The Scenario

Prosyn have found that the automatic windows updates on our IT support clients computers is not a fool proof function which is leaving users with less functionality and extra exposure to security threats. It was also decided that the better approach for any server updates was to do this in a more controlled manner preferably out of hours to allow for repair of any issues caused.

The Requirement

Updates need to be performed on all users' computers and servers, including Windows updates, Adobe Flash/Adobe Reader updates and Java updates.

The Solution

Prosyn sent out engineers to each maintenance customer to perform these updates on all user machines. For those companies who could not afford a disruption to the workforce, these updates were performed out of hours.

The Result

Better performing machines resulting in less disruption to the users, as well as better security protected machines.
